Polar Panoramas

Here are two of my three finished Polar Panoramas. I took about 15-20 pictures of my surroundings. I did this by standing in one place, taking a picture and then rotating a little bit so that there is about a 15% overlap. I ended up turning in a full 360 degree turn. I then used Adobe Camera Raw to edit and brighten my pictures and after that I compiled them into a Panoramic image using Adobe Photo Shop. The next step I took was resizing my panorama so that it was 5,000 by 5,000 pixels. After it was resized I rotated it 180 degrees so that it was upside down. Apply the Polar Coordinates Filter to your image to make it a "world". Next, I used the blur, smudge and stamp tools to clean up any seams to make my world look nice and smooth all the way around! Finally, I feathered my image to clean up the edges and copied and pasted it into a new page where I gave it either a black or white background.

How I added a picture of me into my world was pretty easy. First, I had a friend take a picture looking down on me (my friend stood on a chair and tilted the camera downward). After, I edited the picture of me in Adobe Camera Raw. Then, I used the Quick Selection Tool in Photo Shop. With the tool, I outlined my entire body and deleted everything else so that it was just me in the picture. I then cleaned up the boarder of my body by smoothing it out so I didn't look rigid. I was then left with a smooth cut out picture of me! I made the cut out bigger and placed it on my finished world!

Final Photomontages

These are two of my FINAL photomontages from my Digital Media Class also called Gifted and Talented (G.T). These pieces are inspired by the famous, David Hockney. He first started to take his pictures using a Polaroid camera and named the final image a "joiner".Joiners are a bunch of pictures take from different angles, and even times. They are then edited using Adobe Bridge and compiled in Adobe Photoshop. Then I organized them so that every part of the picture gets placed and layered together to create a final image! This project was one of my favorites because it requires the look of layered pictures, which I love. I hope I get the opportunity to do this project again!

Magazine Title

This is my finished Magazine Cover that I created in the Fall of 2013 at Kapa'a Middle School. Me and my partner had a mini photo shoot for the magazine cover and we used Adobe Camera Raw to edit them. I used Photoshop to create a multi-layered image that describes who I am! I did this by drawing the outline of my body and coloring and shading it in with realistic colors! Then placed it into onto my magazine cover! After, I made a title for our magazines. I named mine "Belle". That was the theme of my magazine. It is about beautiful fashion and gossip! We also had subtitles. They are little sneak peaks to what the reader will find while reading my magazine. They are supposed to catch the readers attention and make them interested! I also customized the background of my magazine with different shades of pink. I swirled those colors together to create a unique effect! I topped it off with a barcode and price amount and finally added some pictures and social media usernames!
